As you may know, for the past year a team of sector representatives have worked to explore trade designation for Forestry Equipment Operator – Harvester and Forwarder in Nova Scotia. The designation of a trade is voluntary and only works with support from industry employers and operators themselves. It is key at this stage to share information on what trade designation means, and the many opportunities it brings to the profession. This is the first session of several engagements that will take place across the province to get broad industry input and share the next steps in the process. To provide your input, especially if you are a Harvester or Forwarder operator or contractor, you’re invited to come and learn more—and share your thoughts. Please join us on June 13th at 7 pm at the Inn on Prince in Truro, NS. Optional dinner and networking before the session at 5:30 pm (dinner cost $48+HST).
